HANNAH KIM
SELECTED WORKS 2020-2024

I am an architectural designer based in NYC. My interests lie in architecture's relationship to technology, art, and worldbuilding.

This interest has pushed me to constantly think of how our ever-evolving culture and tools demand us to constantly re-represent and re-occupy the built world in new ways.

FIRM: PBDW Architects
PROJECT LOCATION: Brookyln, NY
PROJECT TYPOLOGY: Commercial and Office
PROJECT PHASE: DD and CD
PROJECT PROGRAMS: Revit, AutoCAD, InDesign, Photoshop
PROJECT TEAM: Sam White, Kristin Bauer, Hannah Kim
Located on the Upper West Side, 471 West End Avenue is a historic row house designed by McKim, Mead & White located within the Riverside-West End historic district. Damaged by a fire in 2013, it has been abandoned and left in it’s fire torn state with greatly damaged elements on the facade. It was initially a multi-family residency but now has been proposed to be a single family residency.

While working on this project, I’ve collaborated with my project team to submit to LPC, DOB packages, and to create a comprehensive Design Development package.

My direct contributions to this project are inputting survey material into Revit (particularly at the damaged mansard roof), InDesign layout for the LPC submissions, creation of graphic elements such as elevations and details for the LPC submission, and the creation of parametric Revit families during the CD phase.
