HANNAH KIMSELECTED WORKS 2020-2024
I am an architectural designer based in NYC. My interests lie in architecture's relationship to technology, art, and worldbuilding.
This interest has pushed me to constantly think of how our ever-evolving culture and tools demand us to constantly re-represent and re-occupy the built world in new ways.

We declare that the architectural language of “Unplay” (Unplay as a mutation of the known that introduces an alternative form of leisure activated through the establishment of symbiotic social contracts.) will elevate the rural’s cultural and communal sphere to the same sophistication that their technology has.
The rural is not immune to technological advancement and will not be portrayed as a picturesque prairie where everything is as it was decades ago. Rather, we acknowledge that technological and social development and change run parallel in urban and rural conditions. We are stating that villages have lost their small, rural qualities and we are using Unplay as a catalyst to revive that.
